Now in its 10th year, Small Business Saturday follows Black Friday and has become an annual holiday shopping tradition – reminding shoppers to shop local to support more vibrant communities. This year, we encourage local businesses to take advantage of the momentum of the national event and promotion on November 30th.
Why you should participate in Small Business Saturday
According to a survey conducted by the National Federation Independent Businesses, in 2018:
- 59 percent of small business owners reported that Small Business Saturday contributes significantly to their holiday sales each year;
- 104 million shoppers spent a record high of $17.8 billion last year; and
- 70 percent of American adults said they were aware of Small Business Saturday.

Let us know what you are doing for Small Business Saturday!
Please take a moment to complete this brief survey to let us know what you will be doing on Small Business Saturday. Whether you are offering promotions, hosting a contest, having a raffle, extending your business hours, we want to promote you! We will promote the day broadly, as well as the businesses that let us know their plans for the day, through social and print media. We believe the success of this promotion will rely on strength in the number of businesses participating in the day, so please let us know what you are doing.
