Stoneham's students will start the 2017/2018 school year with a new leader of the school district - Superintendent John Macero.
Macero brings much experience and talent to the job, having previously worked as superintendent of the Winthrop Public School District, and as principal of the Wayland School for the Revere Public School District. One of Macero's significant accomplishments while at Winthrop was his leadership during the planning and construction phase of the $82 million middle/high school on Main Street.
Outside of academia, Macero is a kindred spirit to small business owners. He is part of a successful family business - the acclaimed Winthrop School of Performing Arts, led by his wife and artistic director Trudy.
Welcome to Superintendent John Macero!
