As part of the Stoneham Chamber’s commitment to support the local economy and our members, we offer a gift certificate program to encourage residents to shop local for the holidays and beyond. There is no cost for Chamber members to participate and your business receives 100 percent of the proceeds from redeemed gift certificates.

SIMPLE AND COST-EFFECTIVE

There is no paperwork, simply email a picture or mail the redeemed certificate to the Chamber. We reimburse you 100% of the face value within two weeks of receipt of your redeemed certificate information.

HOW IT WORKS

Stoneham Chamber Gift Certificate is purchased from the Chamber office or online at stonehamchamber.org/gift-certificates.
Recipient redeems gift certificate using entire amount (no change should be given) to purchase goods or services, choosing from one of the participating businesses listed on the gift certificate, as well as on the Chamber website.
Participating business signs gift certificate acknowledging redemption
Participating business turns in the gift certificate to the Chamber office (via email, mail or in person) and, within two (2) weeks of receiving redeemed certificates, the Chamber will issue a reimbursement check for one hundred percent (100%) of the face value of each redeemed Gift Certificate. Please note: if your membership is not in good standing, a 15 percent processing fee will be assessed and taken out of your reimbursement.

WHY PARTICIPATE

The Chamber advertises the program and your business on the Chamber website, emails, publications, and print and social media promotions. Your business name is promoted on every certificate. A special icon is used in the Chamber’s online directory for all participants, and you are provided a special “Stoneham Chamber Gift Certificates Accepted Here” decal to display at your business.
Gift certificates expose your business to new customers who may not have been familiar with you.
Gift certificates encourage consumers to spend more at your business. Many times gift certificates are viewed as “free money” and because no change will be given, more will be spent when redeemed.

Requirements for Participation*
I agree to the abide by the following requirements:
1. I agree to honor all Stoneham Chamber Gift Certificates presented for redemption at my business.

2. I understand that the entire amount of each Gift Certificate can be used to purchase goods or services in one establishment only, and that no cash or credit refunds need be given, and no restrictions apply.

3. I agree to return to the Chamber office, either by email, mail or in person, all Gift Certificates redeemed at my business, and, within two (2) weeks of receiving redeemed certificates, the Chamber will issue to me a reimbursement check for the face value of each redeemed Gift Certificate.

4. Should I wish to discontinue my participation in the program, I agree to notify the chamber office in writing of my cancellation. I understand that my business will be required to honor any and all outstanding gift certificates that bear my business name (listed on back). All gift certificates expire seven years from the date of issue pursuant to Massachusetts law.

5. I acknowledge that the Gift Certificate program is a benefit of chamber membership and participants must be members in good standing. A 15 percent fee will be assessed to reimbursements to participants whose memberships have lapsed.

6. I acknowledge that the Stoneham Chamber will provide my business with the funds from consumer gift certificate purchases that pertain to my business/business name only. The Chamber cannot guarantee any sales will be made for my company/business. Once funds have been transferred, the liability of the value of funds is transferred as well. Please note the Chamber will receive none of the proceeds from these sales. All sales are passed onto merchants.
