Join the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce and Dr. Mickey’s Pediatric & Orthodontic Specialists for the Annual Tree Lighting on the Stoneham Town Common, Sunday, December 1, from 3 to 5 PM.
Activities will include, visits with Santa, a train ride for kids on the Common offered by the Stoneham Recreation Department, craft making and activities, hot chocolate, popcorn and cookies, Harrow’s Pot Pie sampling, the Memory Tree, holiday music and caroling with the Stoneham Girl Scouts. The event will culminate with the official tree lighting by Dr. Mickey’s Pediatric & Orthodontic Specialists at 4:45 PM.
The Stoneham Business & Community Educational Foundation (SBCEF) will have their Trolley Ride with Frosty from the Town Hall to the Stone Zoo for those families who wish to attend opening night of ZooLights at the Stone Zoo. Tickets for the trolley can be purchased at the Tree Lighting and are $6 for an adult and $3 for a child. All proceeds will go to the SBCEF to support the wonderful community initiatives they lead throughout the year.
Also returning is the Stoneham Firefighters’ Toy Collection. Unwrapped, new toys will be collected on the Common during the Tree Lighting and gifted to area families in need. Residents are encouraged to bring unwrapped gifts on Sunday and will be automatically entered to win tickets to ZooLights at the Stone Zoo.
