Take a StoryWalk® through Stoneham. This is a fun activity that allows you to spend time with your family and build your brain and muscles at the same time. Follow the route as you read the book displays and participate in the activity suggestions.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson. StoryWalk® in Stoneham is a collaborative project of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, and the North Suburban Child and Family Resource Network a Coordinated Family and Community Engagement funded program of the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care through Wakefield Public Schools in collaboration with MelroseWakefield Healthcare.
The StoryWalk® in Stoneham will feature the book “It’s Summer” by Linda Glaser and illustrated by Susan Swan. In this story, you’ll learn about animal life, plant life, weather and summer appropriate clothing. You’ll also be able to discuss what summer means to you.
