Saturday, April 8, is the 7th annual Chamber Health & Wellness Expo from 9am to 1pm at the new Stoneham Middle School. Title sponsored by Stop & Shop, the Expo is FREE to the public and runs alongside the huge indoor yard sale presented by the Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham. Corporate sponsors are Commonwealth Pediatrics, Diane Bonanni, DMD, Hallmark Health System, Life Care Center of Stoneham and Winchester Hospital/Lahey.
The event is even larger this year as committee members have carved out new exhibitor space, and included new activities for 2017. Over 70 exhibitors comprise a wide range of health, wellness, and preventive health and fitness businesses, most with promotions and coupons for attendees at the Expo. Many will be on hand to offer free vein, blood sugar and blood pressure screenings, sun damage and sleep disorder assessments, lots of free snacks, free samples, give-aways, demonstrations, massages, prize drawings, and much more.
Want to try Fast Fitness or Zumba? Watch a demonstration and join in with instructors. Check out Aaron’s Taco Cart’el food truck’s heart-healthy tacos. Learn about L.L. Bean’s Outdoor Discovery School. Play youth “Bubble Soccer” out on the lawn. Sign on for a special event-discounted comprehensive CPR training. See what the Stoneham Farmer’s Market, the new Recreation Department and other community organizations have lined up for summer. Hear of important updates with our Police and Fire Departments, and substance abuse cessation with the Stoneham Substance Abuse Coalition.
Attendees will want to be sure to visit exhibitors with their “Passport to Health” that they will receive at the entrance to the Expo. Completion of the “Passport” enters the attendee in the prize drawings of gift certificates, gift baskets and more at the conclusion of the Expo. Attendees do not need to be present to win.
