On December 1, the Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Town of Stoneham Department of Public Works unveiled new lights on the Stoneham Town Common during the Annual Tree Lighting ceremony. The new holiday lights are the culmination of weeks of planning, the hard work of the Stoneham DPW and the generosity of the Stoneham business community.
Resident Tara Lawler spearheaded the efforts to replace and refresh the holiday light display. Working with the Chamber Tree Lighting Committee, an “Adopt-a-Holiday Tree” sponsorship drive was conceived and more than 20 businesses and residents signed up to support the Chamber’s efforts almost immediately. For their generosity, each business is acknowledged with commemorative markers donated by Signverse that will remain on the trees throughout the holiday season.
The Stoneham Chamber of Commerce is grateful for the support, effort and oversight provided by DPW Director Brett Gonsalves, as well as Dan Salvato, Bill McCabe, Joe Sarno, Joe Bernat, Kyle Sullivan, Justin Jordan, Bob Toussaint and the rest of the DPW crew.
