On May 11, at Ginn Field in Winchester, state and local elected officials, members of the Friends of the Tri-Comunity Bikeway, residents and volunteers gathered for the momentous Groundbreaking for the Tri-Community Bikeway - a more than 30 year collaborative effort to create a multiuse recreation path through three communities.
On the bed of the former Boston and Main railroad section, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation awarded the construction contract to Northern Construction of Weymouth in early 2017, with construction scheduled to be completed in 2018.
