Stoneham's 300th Anniversary End of Summer Celebration
The Stoneham Chamber is thrilled to collaborate with the Friends of the Stoneham 300th Anniversary for an End of Summer Celebration! We have a packed day of activities lined up to honor Stoneham's tricentennial and showcase the numerous natural treasures our town offers!
All events are low or no cost and registration is required. Please use the links below to sign up for events happening on August 23.

Whip Hill Estate Tours with the Stoneham Garden Club

Join the Stoneham Garden Club on guided tours of the historic Whip Hill estate and garden. Whip Hill was donated to the Town of Stoneham by Angie Crockett in 1963 for conservation purposes in town. Learn about the history of the manor and surrounding property.
Location: Whip Hill Park | One Whip Hill Road
Times: 10am, 10:30am, 11am, 11:30am, 12pm, 12:30pm, 1:00pm (each tour is approximately a half-hour)
Cost: Free, registration required
Considerations: People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to register. Youth under the age of 14 should be accompanied by an adult.
Guided Hikes with the Friends of the Fells

As part of the tricentennial celebration, the Friends of the Middlesex Fells will be offering guided walks through the woods.
Location: Tours begin and end at Whip Hill Manor
Times: 2pm, 3:30pm (each tour is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes)
Cost: No cost, registration required
Considerations: Participants should be able to walk 1.5 miles on uneven terrain.
Trolley Ride to Whip Hill Summer Celebration

Take the trolley from Stoneham Square to the Whip Hill Estate for a Summer Celebration from 2-5pm featuring games, music, food and fun! Idle Hands will be on hand as well as a free ice cream from Astound Broadband. Trolleys will run every half hour to and from Stoneham Square. There will be very limited parking at Whip Hill so take the trolley instead!
Location: Police Box in Stoneham Square | One Central Street
Times: Every half hour from 2pm-5pm (return trolleys until 6:30pm)
Cost: $5 per person
Considerations: Youth under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
Historical Spot Pond Boat Tour with the Stoneham Historical Commission

Join Paddle Boston and the Stoneham Historical Commission for a guided tour of Spot Pond. Learn about this rich history while enjoying a leisurely boat ride.
Location: Paddle Boston | Spot Pond
Times: 3pm, 4:30pm (each tour is approximately one hour)
Cost: $10 per person
Considerations: People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to register. During registration you can request to be matched with someone who can paddle for you.
Stone Zoo After Hours

As part of the tricentennial celebration, the Stone Zoo will be offering free admission from 5pm to 7pm to Stoneham residents. Tickets are complimentary but registration with proof of street address is required.
Location: Paddle Boston | Spot Pond
Times: 5pm-7pm
Cost: Free, registration required
Considerations: This event is reserved for Stoneham residents. Youth under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
