Excellent news! Warrant article #23 passed overwhelmingly last night at Town Meeting, allowing for a change in the Town by-law to allow regulated A-Frame signs in the Downtown business district!
The Planning Board’s work and earlier April 12 Public Hearing support went far in endorsing the article. A-Frame signage modifiations are an important Year 2 recommendation of the Stoneham Square Strategic Action Plan, adopted by residents in 2014.
What’s next? The A-Frame Committee will now work to develop the regulation language for the new sign code; permit fee, hours for display, materials, etc. We will continue to keep the business community informed of this progress.
