Each year, the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce partners will downtown businesses to paint festive Halloween scenes in anticipation of then Halloween Stroll. Artist of all ages and abilities are invited to join us! To register for a window, please visit: Paint a Halloween Storefront Window (stonehamchamber.org).

Thank you for registering to paint a storefront window for Halloween!
Please note, due to predicted inclement weather, the event has been moved to Sunday, October 22 from noon to 3pm. If you are unable to paint your window on the new date, that is no problem at all, please let me know and we can arrange pick-up of your supplies and window assignment.

HALLOWEEN WINDOW PAINTING
Information & Guidelines
- Window painting will take place Saturday, October 19, noon – 3pm (Rain date is Sunday). Supplies and window assignments will be available at the Common House Pop-Up space located at 335 Main Street (next to Kushala Sip and across from the Town Common).
- Design size will be 18 x 24 – it will be outlined with masking tape.
- Try to fill the space with color – sky or just background color. No black background – Black paint can leach into the window glass in direct light.
- Please keep your design within the taped off area. There are certain window areas the owners were prefer were not painted.
- Please remove the “Coming Soon” and tape it below where you are painting if there is ledge under the window to catch any paint drips.
- Please use caution not to get paint on sidewalks, brickwork, window frames, and any area other than the merchant’s window.
- Be sure to complete the “About the Artist” sign and tape it next to your window.
Painting Materials and Guidelines
Each artist will be provided with paints, brushes, and supplies. Those supplies include:
- Paint in assorted Halloween colors
- Assorted paint brushes
- Water and a cup for your brushes
What you may want to bring:
- A small step ladder for smaller children to reach high work.
- Extra newspaper and/or plastic drop cloths (to protect window ledges, store fronts, brickwork, etc.)
- Old clothing that you don’t mind getting paint on.
