The holiday season is fast approaching, and the Stoneham Chamber is excited to launch our annual More Cheer Happens Here holiday campaign.

Below are the events and initiatives that we will host during the holidays, as well as information on how you can participate in and/or sponsor these popular events. As with all of our events, we are happy to tailor your sponsorship to what would best suit your business. With the Holiday Campaign, you are able to sponsor the entire holiday season by becoming a More Cheer Happens Here Seasonal Sponsor or select individual events and offerings.

Tree Lighting on the Common – Sunday, December 1, 3pm – 5pm
The 21st Tree Lighting on the Town Common will be on Sunday, December 1 from 3pm – 5pm. This popular family event is offered in partnership with StonehamBank, the Stoneham Department of Public Works, Stoneham Police and Fire Departments, Stoneham Recreation, and local sports and youth groups. This year’s celebration will include visits with Santa, craft making and activities, hot chocolate, holiday music and caroling with the Girl Scouts. Additionally, the Stoneham Art Group will be hosting the Winter Arts + Crafts Fair with more than 40 vendors inside the Town Hall Auditorium from 1 – 5pm.

Holiday Parade – Saturday, Dec. 7, 11am – 1pm
Returning for a fifth year, the popular Holiday Parade features emergency vehicles, decorated cars and floats, holiday mascots and Santa. The parade travels through all the neighborhoods of Stoneham where the streets are lined with attendees.

Holiday Open House – Saturday, Dec. 14, 2pm – 5pm
The Stoneham Chamber is teaming up with local businesses to host a second Holiday Open House that will include a Trolley traveling through town to Santa at Whip Hill. Community members will be encouraged to visit Stoneham stores, businesses, and restaurants for specials, raffles, treats and promotions to make holiday shopping easy and fun. As part of the Open House, there will be a holiday “passport” that participants can get stamped by the businesses they visit. The more stamps collected, the more raffle chances they get to win amazing prizes.
